Excel to Google Sheets

Export your Excel sheet as CSV so Google Sheets imports it perfectly.

Drop a file here, or click to browse

No upload — everything runs in your browser

How to use the Excel to Google Sheets converter

  1. Add your .xlsx file.
  2. It is exported as clean CSV.
  3. Import that CSV into Google Sheets.

What you can convert

Drop in XLSX, XLS, XLSM files. One file at a time keeps the output predictable, and the convert button stays disabled until a file is in place.

The result comes back as a clean .csv that pastes straight into Google Sheets. Exports a clean CSV for Google Sheets.

Why run it in your browser

Most online converters work the same way: you upload a file, it lands on somebody's server, gets written to a temporary folder, and is deleted afterwards. That is fine right up until the day you are converting an unreleased product mockup, a signed contract, or a client's bank statement — because all you get is a promise, not a fact.

This converter never sends your file anywhere. The work happens with JavaScript inside the page you are already looking at, so the bytes never leave your device. That is why there is no upload bar, no "file too large" ceiling, and nothing left behind on a server to delete.

There is no account to create and no watermark to remove. It also keeps working offline once loaded, which matters on a train or a patchy office Wi-Fi. If you are converting the same kind of file constantly, an automated pipeline is the better route — that is what our software solutions are for.

Good to know before you start

A CSV is a plain text format, so it only carries values. Formatting and formulas do not survive.

Keep the original file until you have checked the output. If the result is not what you expected, try one of the related tools below rather than converting the same file repeatedly.
